Tawni and Derrick have won a free Las Vegas wedding ceremony provided by Ever After on January 18th, 2015 at The New Tropicana Hotel & Resort. They were one of the couples that submitted their love stories to us for the “100 Free Las Vegas Wedding Giveaway”. We’re celebrating 100 days of Marriage Equality in Nevada with our wedding venue partners by giving away weddings to deserving couples. Our team loved their heartfelt love story.
Tawni and Derrick met 6 years ago (in a garage no less). As soon as Tawni laid her eyes on Derrick she knew he was the man that she wanted to marry. They started to date shortly after, and 3 years into their relationship they had a baby. Through thick and thin, Derrick has been Tawni’s rock and they have never been more in love than they are today. Many of their friends told them to just get hitched in a civil ceremony, but Tawni has always had the dream of having a grand wedding. Unfortunately, due to some hard times, her dream seemed unreachable. Tawni submitted her story in hopes of having her dream of marrying Derrick become reality.
Ever After was happy to grant Tawni and Derrick’s wish with a free Las Vegas wedding ceremony. Our Venue Expert Jenny broke the great news to Tawni & Derrick. They were ecstatic to hear that they won and cannot wait to celebrate their love with friends and family.

We have heard from the wedding staff at the Tropicana that Tawni and Derrick’s 3-year-old son is going to be their ring bearer – that’s going to be adorable! Congratulations to you both – we wish you a lifetime of wedded bliss.
